A little about ourselves JROTC has been a part of Lowell High since the passage of the National Defense Act in 1916 and has helped many cadets become successful. One notable alumnus is former Battalion Commander William Hewlett, who founded HP. The program teaches cadets valuable leadership and teamwork skills. Through this, JROTC prepares each cadet to be at the forefront of whichever career they decide to pursue once they graduate from high school.
