Battalion Staff  2019-2020

Battalion Commander (CO)
​C/CDR  Giovanni Wong

       Overall control and supervision of the Battalion. Approves all job assignments and/or relief from job assignments of staff personnel. Approves promotions and demotions for grades and approves all awards. Schedules and presides over staff and/or Commanders conferences. Works with the staff from the school in coordinating activities of the Battalion. Accomplishes additional duties as directed by the SNSI/NSI.

​​Battalion Executive Officer (XO)
C/LCDR Jemellie Adena

       Assists the Battalion Commander and recommends job assignments and/or relief from job for staff personnel. Serves as adviser to the Battalion commander on policy’s and plans for the Battalion. Inspects work of the staff and informs the Battalion Commander. Supervises all staff personnel and their duties. Inspects staff in preparation for inspections as directed by the Battalion Commander, SNSI, and NSI.

​​Battalion Master Chief (CMC)
C/CMCPO Calvin Lee

       Assists CO and XO directly. Supervises activities of special teams, platoon commanders etc. Reports progress of special teams and also an expert at all special team activities. Monitors special team members' GPA as well as Battalion staff personnel. Works with Special Ops Officer in managing special team units.

​​​​​Administrative Officer (S-1)
C/CPO Dorian White

​      Manages cadet files in the battalion. Handles JUMS system with managing the issuing of ribbons, ranks, medals ETC. Works with the CO and XO in determining the use of medals. Prepares the records and reports for the battalion. Maintains attendance rosters. Mentors IT Officer (S-6) in applications of electronic abilities to management of ranks/ribbons/insignia systems.

​​Special Operations Officer (S-3)
C/LT Ashley Huynh

       ​​Organizes battalion operations, such as parades, award ceremonies, etc. Supervises and prepares training schedule of special teams. Maintains NJROTC inspections. Cooperates with Public Affairs Officer (S-5) to plan battalion events and projects. Works with Battalion Master Chief (CSM) in management of special team units. Maintains accountability of ALL non-training equipment and supplies used by the battalion. 

​​Female Supply Officer (S-4)

       Orders and organizes equipment and supplies required for battalion operation (computers, books, etc.) Manages JUMS supply systems. Issues female clothing and other supply items directed by the CO. Advises CO of the supply requirements of operations.

Male Supply Officer (S-4)
C/ENS Christian Mu

​       Orders and organizes equipment and supplies required for battalion operation (computers, books, etc.) Manages JUMS supply systems. Issues female clothing and other supply items directed by the CO. Advises CO of the supply requirements of operations.

​​​​​​Public Affairs Officer (S-5)
C/P01 Joie Cam

      Publishes and executes battalion's recruitment plan. Maintains record on all activities and coordinates on battalion projects and events. Handles battalion media exposures. Takes photography of all battalion events and publishes/prints them as needed. Coordinated public service events and plans events in coordination with the Special Operations Officer (S-3).

Information Technology Officer (S-6)
C/P02 Daniel Huynh

       Constantly maintains the school's battalion website. Sends memos/letters as instructed by SNSI, NSI or CO. Informs CO and XO about any technology needs and changes. Handles ALL needs of battalion involving electronics (such as creating tests, handouts, etc. for the NJROTC curriculum). Learning the knowledge necessary to operate, connect, disconnect and repair any electronic device in the battalion. Advised by Administrative Officer (S-1) in technologic  assignments.
